Since 2016 Odulair has been involved in the design and manufacturing of shipping container buildings for life and health applications beyond just healthcare facilities.
Odulair’s idea is to apply the same principles of technology, quality of design, and building expertise already in place to make things like surgery units and apply all that knowledge to the making of superior shipping container homes, offices, kiosks, and food markets with the same recognizable signature of the outstanding quality and innovation for which Odulair is known in healthcare.

A very interesting Odulair project was the creation of fresh food market kiosks for the city of St. Louis. The U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Access Resource Atlas identifies many areas in the St. Louis region, particularly in North St. Louis County, as food desert locations with a lack of access to fresh, healthy foods. Using shipping containers as a building platform was an easy decision for Odulair, it required no convincing.
